Day 1

 Departure from the homeland to Armenia, arrival in the capital Yerevan and check-in

Day 2

After breakfast Tour of the capital Yerevan where the city was built in 782 BC and Armenians are proud that it is 29 years older than Rome. The tour will include the Mother Armenia Monument, the Armenian Martyrs Monument and the Vernsag Market for handicrafts and souvenirs. Return to the hotel.

 

Day 3: Tsaghkadzor - Lake Sevan

After breakfast, a trip to the city of Tsaghkadzor, which translates from Armenian as "Valley of Flowers", is a city in Kotayk province. Take the cable car to the top of the mountain and enjoy the breathtaking views. Continue to the province of Gegharkunik, where Lake Sevan is located, which is one of the highest freshwater lakes in the world and is located at an altitude of 1900 meters above sea level. In Lake Sevan, you will visit the Sivana Vank Monastery on the peninsula, where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the lake and the Armenian mountain ranges. (Optional expedition).

 

Day 4: Garni - Geghard

After breakfast, head to Garni Temple. The first stop will be the Garnets Arch, where you can enjoy with a stunning view of Mount Ararat and great photo opportunities from there; the temple is located on a high plateau overlooking the Azat River Gorge and is also home to the Roman bath with its mysterious mosaics, made of 30,000 pieces of natural stones, as well as the remains of the royal palace dating back to the 3rd century AD. Next we will head to the Kevard Monastery; this unique monastery was carved into the surrounding rocks and is largely formed by the surrounding cliffs. It is a masterpiece of 13th century Armenian architecture. Initially it was called Erivank but was later changed to its current name, Keghard, which means spear.

 

Day 5: Dilijan - Lake Barzlij

After breakfast, head to Dilijan, considered one of the most beautiful areas and home to many Armenian artists, composers, and filmmakers. It is often referred to as the traditional Armenian Switzerland. Then, head to Lake Barzdag, where you can spend some time enjoying the forests and the lake, embracing the picturesque nature. (This is an optional trip.)

 

Day 6: Jermuk

After breakfast, head to Khor Virap, where you can take beautiful pictures from the closest point to Mount Ararat from Armenia, and there are a number of souvenir stalls that can be purchased. Then continue the road to the city of Jermuk and reach the charming Jermuk waterfalls, as this city contains mineral water springs. (Optional trip).

 

Day 7: Etchmiadzin - Zvartnots

After breakfast, depart from the hotel to the city of Etchmiadzin - the religious center of all Armenians around the world. Armenia is the first country to adopt Christianity in 301 AD. It contains the Etchmiadzin Cathedral, which is the first Christian temple in the world. It is also the seat of the Supreme Patriarch of Catholics of all Armenians. The cathedral preserves with an important religious relic - the Holy Spear, in 2000 Etchmiadzin Cathedral was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Later heading to the remains of the Zvartnots Temple, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. (Optional trip).

 

Day 8: Head to the airport and return home.
